Cursor opened its iPad app to all paid plans on 29 July. Three things came with it: a layout rebuilt for the larger screen, a complete pull-request review surface, and an inbox.
The inbox is the part that changes behaviour. Reviewing is a queue, and a queue needs somewhere to live.
Why review, not writing
Nobody is going to write a service on an iPad. But since agents started opening pull requests, the bottleneck in most teams has moved from writing code to reviewing it.
Review is reading, deciding and commenting — all of which a tablet does perfectly well. Putting the review surface where a reviewer actually is turns dead time into throughput.
Where it fits with the rest of Cursor's July
Cursor shipped a lot in July: side chats and conversation search on the 10th, Slack improvements on the 17th, Router on the 22nd, the India plan on the 28th, iPad on the 29th, and Google Workspace plugins on 3 August.
Read in sequence, the direction is clear — Cursor is trying to be present wherever the work is discussed, not only where it is typed.
The honest limit
This is on paid plans only, and it is an iPad app rather than a phone app. If your review queue lives on Android or on a phone, this does nothing for you today.
